Net-Stalker Assistance

November 7th, 2006 by Fweeb

Well… seeing as how I don’t have a lot of content on this site right now – at least, not until I get Gallery2 set up and some sketchbook drawings uploaded – I’m going to do something that I’ve shamelessly ganked from Warren Ellis‘ blog: Where I Am on the Internet. Think of it as my way of making an Internet stalker’s job easier. Now, mind you, this isn’t an extensive list. There are places that I’ve visited once or mention me once, but I’m omitting those because I’m not active there.
So… here goes:

  • Hand Turkey Studios – The website for the company I started with some friends of mine. We do animation and print design. Point of trivia: we are all retired Luchadores.
  • Sheep-dot – The studio’s side projects blog (a side plog!). Lots of cool stuff shows up there.
  • Blender Artists – *The* main community site for Blender, a 3D modeling and animation suite that I use on a daily basis.
  • MySpace – Yeah, yeah… I’ve got a MySpace account. I tried to dodge that bullet but damn business rules (“Go where the people are”) prevented that. So I have an account… begrudingly. Expect to see rants about MySpace here.
  • The Imagined Community – This is a nice little place that has a history that pre-dates social networks and blogs. Amazing, huh?
  • Blender Wiki – I need to do more here, but I’m fairly active in the Blender Education group.
  • VALUG – Message board (and hopefully more things soon) for Virginia-based Linux Users Groups. There are actually three LUG’s in the Richmond area, strangely enough. Hopefully this site will help consolidate some effort.
  • Extinction Level Event – An online animated film project that I’m working on. It’s still in it’s nascent stages, but the production model shows promise.
  • IRC – I’m all over freenode. Chances are good that you’ll find me in #blenderchat, but I’ve also been known to frequent #cinelerra, #wordpress, and a couple other sofware-related channels. Yes, I’m a nerd.

Alright. That should about cover it. Now you know where to find me on the Internet. Of course, any reason why you might ever be looking for me totally escapes my mind, but hey… I’m sure someone has a reason… even if it is just pure boredom.
