Geostationary Banana… Over Texas

April 10th, 2007 by Fweeb

Not too long ago, fellow Turkey, Warren, pointed me to a site that he was pointed to from Warren Ellis‘ website… with one of the longest, most bizarre URLs I’ve seen in recent memory, Geostationary Banana Over Texas. That’s right. This team of artists and engineers is planning on inflating a 300 meter banana and floating it between 30 and 50 kilometers above Texas.

Freaking amazing. Science is awesome. Days like this make me glad I live in the future.

If this is a way of providing Texans with their Reccomended Daily Dosage of Potassium, then I applaud the state of Texas and proclaim this to be in-JIANN-ious!
