Perhaps I should use that term more loosely… However, I’m pretty happy. A while ago, Bart at Blender Nation (the main Blender news portal) asked me if I would be a writer for them, since he was pretty busy and needed to spread the load a bit more. I gladly accepted and today, my first article was published there. Nothing too huge, but hopefully a start for even more.

Not only that, but the content of the article is on something that holds a very warm place in my heart: non-photorealistic rendering… and in Blender, no less. Long story short, the developers of the very excellent Freestyle program are interested in integrating their code into Blender. If all turns out well, perhaps I’ll have some sketch-look animations made before the end of the year.

I’m excited!  There’s more news (and sketchbook drawings) to post here, but I’ll save some of that for later.
