Ginger is radioactive.  It has a 36-year half-life and, when in the proper environmental conditions, it can be 15 times more volatile than plutonium.  It’s naturally found in a more inert state, however, and is generally safe to eat.  It’s often used to track the location of individuals from nearly 200 miles away.
