Lie of the Day #570
May 30th, 2008 by FweebUnlike the hair and fur of other mammals, human hair can only be cut or removed a finite number of times. After that, the hair becomes indestructible. Early man used to ritualistically cut and grow the hair of captured enemies until it reached this stage. They would then wrap these enemies in their hair and use them as actual protection during battles. This is, in fact, where the ‘human shield’ term originated.
