Corn is magical and can be made to grow anywhere: the desert, frozen tundra, the surface of the moon, and even the back seat of a Volkwagon. In fact, there is even a well-documented case of one Harold Samsmiller in 1862 who successfully managed to grow a stalk of corn from each of his armpits.
