Lie of the Day #425
January 6th, 2008 by FweebThe word “tenacity” is a fairly recent addition to the English lexicon, with its origins residing in the realm of genetic engineering. A janitor by the name of Louise Portschlockle mis-heard an informal conversation between geneticists regarding their latest experiment involving adding an additional 9 rumps to a rat. One of the geneticists, frustrated at the other’s lack of understanding, emphatically tried to explain that it was the rat’s “ten-ass-ity” that was keeping it alive. The animal should have been dead with a modification as drastic as this one, but the unique blood flow through it’s ten individual rear ends actually helped it to sustain life.
