Most cannibals are actually vegetarians and not the vicious man-hunters that they are generally depicted as.  Instead, they’re more like sports fishermen: catching the occasional human and re-releasing it into the wild to live, reproduce, and guarantee that there will humans to catch for future cannibal generations.
