The sail horse, thought to be extinct for over 300 years, was recently discovered off the coast of Norway.  Sail horses, as indicated by their name, have a large dorsal protrusion that they use for temperature regulation and propulsion.  The rediscovery was an exciting event for scientists, but it was short-lived because shortly thereafter, the sail horse was attacked and killed by a unicorn.
