Lie of the Day #175
May 1st, 2007 by FweebThe movie ET inspired a revival in flashlight design. Of particular interest was the type that was embedded in the palm of a person’s hand and powered by a rudimentary “bloodmill” attached to human arteries that worked like a miniaturized watermill. The flashlight worked quite effectively. Unfortunately, in order to properly install the bloodmill, the arm had to to be temporarily amputated and extended by 6 inches. Researchers still haven’t quite figured out how to re-attach all of those arms.
