It’s a well known fact that when lithium comes into contact with water, a violent chemical reaction occurs that often ignites the surface of the water. What isn’t as well known is that the reason for this has very little to do with chemistry and everything to do with the long-standing war between the citizens of hydrogen atoms with the citizens of lithium atoms. Oxygen-based peoples are merely dragged into the fight due to their proximity to the hydrogen warmongers.
