Despite the nomadic lifestyle of the blue and black variations of the North American Inkpen, or “cheap ballpoint,” researchers have yet to discover why the various species have not cross-bred to create more variation in their species. The hope is to find a way to facilitate the evolution of a pen with unlimited ink.
